Sundial Dental Wauchope offers All-on-4 dental implants at our Hastings Street clinic, for patients across Wauchope and the Hastings hinterland. If you have been told that full-arch implants are something you have to drive to a city for, that is not the case. The Wauchope clinic is set up for it.

This page is for people in Wauchope, Comboyne, Beechwood and the surrounding hinterland thinking about All-on-4 and weighing whether to do it locally. It is the honest version. No outcome promises, no fixed quotes without examination.

For an in-depth look at the procedure itself, including the full cost breakdown and process, see our All on 4 Port Macquarie pillar page. The procedure is the same wherever it is performed – this page focuses on what All-on-4 looks like at a country-town clinic.

This page is general information only. It is not dental advice. An individual consultation is required to determine whether All-on-4 is suitable for you. See the full disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

Country-Town Clinic, Modern Implant Care

Wauchope is a small town. Sundial Dental Wauchope is a small clinic. That is exactly the point. Most large implant centres in capital cities are set up like a production line – you see one person for the consultation, another for the imaging, another for the surgery, and someone else again for the reviews. The case gets handed off so many times that nobody really knows who you are.

A country clinic is different. The team that does your consultation is the team that does your surgery, the team that fits your prosthesis, and the team that sees you for reviews five years later. That continuity is one of the most underrated parts of long-term implant success, and it is one of the things you get by being treated locally rather than at a city clinic.

Country-town does not mean country-equipment. The Wauchope clinic has the same 3D imaging, the same planning tools and the same modern materials as any city implant centre. The difference is the relationship, not the technology.

Many of our All-on-4 enquiries come from people who have been with the Wauchope clinic for years for general dentistry, and who are now reaching a point where their existing teeth are not going to last much longer. The continuity helps – we already know your medical history, your anxieties and what you want from your teeth.

All-on-4 in Plain Words

All-on-4 replaces a full arch of teeth with a fixed prosthesis supported by four implants. Two go at the front of the jaw. Two go further back at an angle, which lets them anchor into denser bone and often avoids the need for a bone graft. The result is a set of teeth screwed into your jaw, not removable.

It is real surgery and the decision should be made after an examination, 3D imaging and a written treatment plan. It is also not the only option. Traditional dentures and implant-retained dentures are both legitimate alternatives for the right patient.

Quick comparison of options

Option Removable? Best for
Traditional dentures Yes Lower upfront cost, no surgery
Implant-retained dentures Yes (by patient) More stability without going fully fixed
All-on-4 fixed prosthesis No Patients who want a fixed feel, no daily removal

Is All-on-4 the Right Path for You?

A few honest questions to ask yourself before booking any consultation:

  • Am I tired of dentures, or am I considering implants because someone told me I should be?
  • Have I lost most of my teeth in one or both arches, or do I still have a lot of healthy teeth that could be saved?
  • Am I in reasonably good general health, and can I tolerate oral surgery?
  • Do I understand that this is a long-term commitment with daily home care?
  • Can I afford it without putting myself in a difficult financial position?

There is no shame in deciding the answer is no, or not yet. Many country patients are better served by a well-made set of dentures than by jumping straight to implants. The point of the consultation is to work out which path actually makes sense for you, not to push the most expensive option.

Indicative Costs and the Money Conversation

All-on-4 in the Hastings region falls in the same price band as the rest of regional NSW. Indicative ranges per arch are between $23,000 and $35,000, depending on the prosthesis material and individual treatment needs. These are not quotes. Sundial Dental does not provide pricing without an examination.

What matters more than the headline number is what is actually included. When you look at any quote, make sure you can answer these questions about it:

  • Are the implants, surgery, temporary prosthesis and final prosthesis all included?
  • Are pre-surgical extractions included if you need them?
  • Is the 3D scan included or billed separately?
  • What happens if a bone graft turns out to be necessary?
  • Is sedation included or is it extra?
  • What does the first year of follow-ups cost?
  • What does year-two-onwards maintenance cost?

A quote that is dramatically lower than others usually has gaps somewhere. Ask. Anyone unwilling to put the answers in writing is telling you something useful about how they work.

Warning Signs in Implant Marketing

You will see a lot of slick marketing for All-on-4. Some of it is honest. Some of it is not. The warning signs are the same regardless of where you are looking:

  • Outcome guarantees, success rate claims or use of the word “painless”
  • Pressure to commit on the day of consultation
  • Quotes given without imaging or examination
  • Vague answers about what is included and what is not
  • No clear plan for who handles complications and long-term care
  • Pricing dramatically lower than every other quote
  • “Limited time” offers or discount language
