For many adults and teenagers, the desire for straight teeth is often outweighed by the reluctance to wear metal braces.

At Sundial Dental, we offer a clear alternative. Invisalign allows you to align your smile discreetly and comfortably, without the wires and brackets of traditional orthodontics. Available across our Mid North Coast clinics, it is the modern way to achieve the smile you have always wanted.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-made, clear plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. Because the aligners are virtually invisible, most people won’t even notice you are wearing them. They are also removable, which means they fit seamlessly into your lifestyle—whether you are heading to a business meeting, a social event, or playing sports. Unlike fixed braces, Invisalign allows you to maintain optimal oral hygiene because you can brush and floss your teeth normally.

How the Treatment Works

The process combines advanced 3D technology with a simple, patient-friendly routine:

  1. Digital Scan: We start with a consultation and a 3D computer scan of your teeth. This allows us to map out your entire treatment plan and even show you a virtual preview of your future smile.
  2. Custom Aligners: A series of unique aligners are manufactured specifically for your teeth.
  3. Wear & Change: You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little into their final position.
  4. Progress Checks: You will visit us approximately every 6 to 8 weeks so we can ensure your treatment is tracking as planned.

Who Is It For?

Invisalign is an effective solution for both adults and teenagers. It is commonly used to treat:

  • Crowding: When there is not enough room in the jaw for all teeth to fit normally (which can lead to plaque accumulation).
  • Spacing: Gaps between teeth.
  • Bite Issues: Overbites, underbites, and crossbites. It is the ideal choice for patients who want to improve their dental health and alignment but require a flexible, aesthetic option that does not interfere with their daily appearance or diet.

A Healthier Smile

Beyond aesthetics, straight teeth are healthier teeth. Correctly aligned teeth trap less food, are easier to clean, and ensure your gums fit more securely around the tooth. This reduces the risk of gum disease and tooth decay in the long term.
